I’m back, B-b-b-back.

B-b-b-back from the dead.

New hair, new name… New attitude (not really) *wink*

Better watch out, now..

I got a list of things to do before they know my name.

Totally wanted to do the new hair. I maaaay keep it.. atleast for now.

<== Dawn of a New Time ==>

D-detonate.. all of them.. Please.. p-please.. for my sake..

I.. i-i’m very glad I gave you all the keys..

H-heh.. I’ll be around.. I promise..

I can see the sun.. It’s so pretty, I wish you could see it..

Set, set o clear sun,

Set and darken away,

And you bright, Moon,

Begone drown yourself.

Sorrowed forest, sorrowed sister,

Let us both mourn,You,

for your leaves, forest,

I, for my youth.

Your leaves, forest sister,

Will come back again,

But my youth forest, sister,

Will never return.

It’s okay.. I promise…

Words were cut short as the explosions rang through along with the crumbling earth. The western coast of Dravania would be host to the gentle falling ashes of fire. And as it fell. The coasting sunrise began to peak up over the eastern mountains.. Bringing an all too welcoming light in the dark morning.

Hello there! Ooc section here! I would like to start by saying..

Thank you very much, for following me for so long. I appreciate it! Very much so! This post marks.. a closing chapter in the plot of The Daemond Walks, it was here that the Glass network dealt a crucial blow to Elizabeth and her throes. But all was not well in their supposed victory.. Maidari had been cut off from the rest, and forced to stay behind, within the erupting volcano as the heroes were left no choice but to set off the detonators.

Without much of an escape, Maidari stood at the end of an open tunnel, facing the raging sea miles below as the explosives set near her finally detonated. With it, it left Maidari’s fate now unknown.

For what reason? Might you ask? Well.. Within the coming month of May, this blog will be possibly seeing lessened activity outside of some small reblogs, and queued posts. Next month i will be leaving the country and computer behind for some very much necessary “vacation” overseas. Sort of a small reprieve from everything also in prelude to stormblood.

Over the course of this next month, i’ll be making some more in-character posts to reveal the true fate of Maidari! I hope you enjoy what I have in-store! And I hope you look forward to everything else!

Thank you very much for your reading and support!

I hope i can continue to provide interesting and or entertaining stories in the weeks to come, leading up to stormblood!

I.. I can’t do this, Astra..

Getting tired of this heart..

keeps on beating to somebody before..

need to stay away..

No. Not again..

Never again..

If but only once..

Muses wrote.. don’t love me anymore..

tell me what it’s for.. if everytime it hurts..

Right now..

there’s always one more burn..

how can i keep going.. when I’ve given all of me..

but you’re just out of reach..

takes the heart right out of me..

Only once.. with you..

Please.. tell me what it’s for..

if you’re just out of reach..

Slowly, so slowly

It all falls into place

We venture out

through the darkest bounds of space..

Slowly, so slowly

The sun tries to shine through..

It breaks up all the clouds till

All is lit is blue..

I’m… gonna find you…

I’m… gonna find you…

Slowly, so slowly…

<== Unstoppable ==>

We can be heroes everywhere we go
We can have all that we ever want
Swinging like Ali, knocking out bodies
Standing on top like a champion
Keep your silver, give me that gold
You’ll remember when I say
We can be heroes everywhere we go
Keeping us down is impossible
Cause we’re unstoppable

Oh woah, we’re unstoppable

“I’m unstoppable.”

“Sea o’ clouds. Certainly something. Gotta take my sisters up here. Mari and Nam’ would love it.”

“Lydia too. Probably.”

“Other good news is Reptar seems to like the view too.”

<== Rise ==>

“We’ll fight, until we fall.”

Those were words she heard a Knight once speak. They echoed in her mind over and over as amethyst eyes gazed over the snow blown fields before her. Her world was slowly churning as the alcohol took over her senses.

Ahead of her stood knights bearing no insignia, simply armored in the make of Ishgardian make and design. As the wind blew, it seemed to easily teeter Mai with little resistance from her, but she stood where she were. Casting away a near empty bottle, the highlander took in a shaking breath before looking to the drawn blades and bows before her.

“Nice and easy, Kid. I’m here should you need me to take over and get us out.” The male voice from the blade in her hand resonated aloud. Concern laden in every word but he wouldn’t act unless asked. But as the blades clashed against him and his wielder, he began to call out to the network itself.. Never giving them locations.. just notifying them.

Maidari let the knights charge forth, their clamoring’s and lust for the death of a ‘Heathen’ filled the air as the same words came to her over and over. Each sword that met hers clanged and scraped against the armor she wore. Knight’s attacking all at once then separately when cut away. The flurries of snow from a distant blizzard fluttered down between the twists and turns of the bodies as they fought until they fell.

On a distant lookout, an orange clad dragoon, and the face of a woman long dead before stood together.. Simply watching the highlander carve and be carved against easily overwhelming numbers.

As time went on, their steps grew heavy, the cold blistering weather wreaking havoc on all of them. Even as Maidari’s mind was cluttered with the multitude of thoughts yet still suppressed by the heavy drinking that had been nonstop for weeks now.. She fought on, Bucky’s allag machinery keeping her mind focused by just the smallest of margins.

The highlander let out a roar as she caught one of the knights off-guard. They staggered back as she drew her sword up, clipping one of the closest bodies. As she arced her sword a slew of arrows flew past the openings of the knights, their separation all part of a low born plan. The steel tipped projectiles either missing or connecting on several points of the woman’s body.

The sound of the arrow puncturing the armor at the thinnest intersection rang out in her mind now.. The -thud- as it sunk in and deep became present. Her sight grew red as she saw the fletching in full view. Maidari began to feel her knee’s buckle under the shock and weight of the world that came crashing down onto her. Neither boot or allagan tech could keep her mind steady as the cold set in fully. Blood seeping down her body, beneath and on the armor itself.

With strength draining, her mind was a flood of pain. The countless drunken nights.. the arguement that left her without love, the absence of the partner that kept her steady for so long.. The agony of having to bear guilt, the defeat in her mind, the effort of everything gone to waste now as she cast a tiring gaze to those that would be the death of her..

Maidari’s hands were shaking as she couldn’t tear her eyes away from everything around her, the sword slipped out of grasp and onto her back as she collapsed onto her knees.. Everything that she had done up to this point.. all that she felt came into one hauntingly calm moment.

“We’ll rise, to take a stand.”

Rise.. to take a stand.

Words that meant something to her. Yet more words once spoken by a Knight.. They resonated with her as the highlander’s breath grew short. The searing she felt in her chest, the arrow that found its home would be greeted by a grappling hand. With what strength she had left, she gripped the shaft of the arrow, breaking it as if it were but a simple twig.

The woman cast a pained gaze to her adversaries, them slowly encroaching onto her wounded stature. Hands shot to her chest-plate as she spat crimson onto the snow, her teeth her stained red as metal fingers undid fasteners and clips that held the metal plate together. Piece by metal piece, her armor came off. The highlander snarled and spat as the distance was drawing thin.

Squirming, she freed herself of the metal that covered her finally. The highlander roared as she took Bucky into her left hand, swinging in an overhead arc, connecting with the closest knight, felling the man into the snow with a sickening -crunch- as he crumpled.

Startled, the knights paused their approach. It was either shock or awe that took them over as Maidari heeded the moment of reprieve. Using Bucky as a balance she hoisted herself up, shedding what was left of the metal suit she always wore.. Now broken after the hours long war of hers. Muscles ached, and her body was bleeding, but she reached back down, taking the pauldrons on, pressing them onto her as she quickly strapped them on. Her armor’s scarf now wrapped around her torso like a sash..

Amethyst eyes glaring down those who remained..

“We’ll fight, until we fall.”
“We’ll rise, to take a stand.”

“Do or die.. Let them die.”

Each knight fell at difference paces as they fought to stay alive against the woman in (Living Dead). Liquid crimson splattered onto the freshly fallen snow as their shouts for the heathen to fall were slowly silenced in fashion only a rabid animal driven mad could have done.

Knights carrying their bows and arrows were quick to loose their ammunition against the vastly approaching highlander, her visage spattered with cooling red. In one motion after the other, Maidari staggered forward onto her knees. The remaining bodies falling to the ground seemingly in unison. The air smelled of sickening copper as shades of red stained the area.

Maidari’s mind flashed memories.. thoughts.. feelings onto her once more as she dripped blood onto the white ground beneath her. The visage of her life crumbling to pieces, bit by untouched bit came before her as she began to come to terms with what turns her life had made.

The cold silence was finally disrupted by the lone woman.. Her voice raised as she felt tears roll down her bitterly cold cheeks. The highlander screamed loud as the weight of her world sat upon her shoulds.. she couldn’t take being silent.. being in a drunken stupor any longer. The rage, sadness, agony.. pain.. Everything she had felt was taken in silence.. but no longer.. One last fight was all it took.. one last attempt on her life was all that was needed to push her to a point of breaking.

She screamed again.. over and over.. Until her voice grew hoarse. Till she let out all her suffering. Now she were alone again.. just her, Bucky; her talking sword.. And the cold world.

It was quiet once more.. The only thing in the air was the gentle howl of the winds in Coerthas..

She sat there as the dark weather and nightfall turned into the crystal blue sky after the morning sun had risen.. Eventually Bucky’s tech would manage the wounds till they closed.. Just enough for her to find santuary and a healer..

But till then, she sluggishly pulled herself up out of the snow.. Stepping forward.. Moving ahead. One step.. at a time..

“We’ll fight, until we fall.”

“We’ll rise, to take a stand.”

OOC:

Hey there..! I hope.. you enjoyed this piece! I.. i took quite awhile to write this one, but i do believe it was necessary, that it was needed.

Recently things have been.. rough. I guess is the only way to really describe it.

Alot of the things that had taken place as of late had left me wondering if I should even continue playing, let along rp. I didn’t want to continue even being online anymore, in any platform.

Looking at it all happen, i felt at a complete loss.

I didn’t know what to do or anything..

But after some time, thinking and just coming to terms with things.

I’ve decided i’ll be continuing, even after all things considered.

I wrote this piece hoping to breathe some new life into Mai and myself included. That’s how i wrote it, with that intention in mind. I hope you enjoyed it, very much i do.

And I hope you all will enjoy what i have in store.

Thank you for everything.

<== Gone ==>

It wasn’t much.

It didn’t take much for the wheels to turn. A day after she recovered, Mai returned home.. Expecting some sort of comfort when she would arrive, but there wasn’t any..

Nah.

Just shouting.

Shouting, yelling.. waking up the whole damn neighborhood. There wouldn’t be any detail that could alter what went on. Not a damn thing she could have said in any reality could turn the xaela around.

“– If this is how it is.. then maybe..  Maybe we weren’t meant to last. –”

Words that echoed in her mind as she followed her wife to Limsa. Granted at a distance, she doubted the girl even knew she was being tailed. Keeping to the shadows just like her training had prepared her for, she followed the way ward xaela away from the Mists to the all bustling city of Limsa Lominsa.

It was easy, she didn’t make much an effort to hide her tracks as the girl worked down to the docks. Gaining passage aboard a supply and trade vessel bound for foreign waters. She didn’t even look back.

Maidari slipped from the shadows as the boat let out it’s horn, the crew moving from the docks onto the gangplank and into the ship.. The sails unfurling and the passengers, strangers, and merchants bidding farewell to those they left behind.. Except for the Au Ra.

The highlander followed as much as she could, the ship moving to the outer walls, and her walk space ending as the pier came to a halt.  A painful glance bid onto Mai as she watched the large vessel sail out of reach.. out into the distance. Eastward, it was bound.. To the far far east..

Standing on the edge of the pier she watched on.. Not a tear yet shed.. Had she regretted her actions she might have been dead. Death by the Drowned Queen.. not a scream of repentance would come from her if she did… But that was then.. This were now.. And as if on their own, the highlanders legs begged her onward.. Back down the pier and onto the sea side cliffs of Lower La Noscea.. They overlooked most of the south.. And from there..

From there Maidari would watch as the ship sailed away.. into the morning light. Sliding to her knees, her amethyst gaze spotted a small and dwindling dot as it distanced itself from the island city-state.

It wasn’t long till her knees gave way.. Mai fell to her side slowly. Even the allagan weapon strapped to her back couldn’t help the pain of brittle bones. She let her head rest against the sea stained grass.. Her body not moving an ilm as the hours waned on.

By the time she gazed upon the sky once more, breaking the monotony of the sea’s horizon.. The Moon was high.. It was midnight.

Her mouth slid open as she sat back up, she tried to say words.. but they were never to be said..

There was no goodbye.

Her love had just gone.

<== Lost words and forgotten thoughts

[mood(?)]

She looks to you, seemingly expecting some last words before her departure..

But the words never came. You opened your mouth but all that was there was silence.. Silence met with the pitter-patter of the passing desert rain.

Amethyst eyes drifted away to look to the path behind her before meeting your broken gaze. Stunned as you were by the failure of words, you jerked your hand forward, reaching out to the girl before she would leave.

A small grin slipped onto her now dampen features. Her metal gloves reached out as well to meet yours, placing the back of her hand onto your palm. Holding it there for what seemed like an eternity as she kept your gaze.

“I’ll be going now..”

The girl finally says quietly, yet just loud enough for you to hear over the washing rain. Still standing with you, hand in hand for only moments longer before she pulled away turning on a heel yet her eyes didn’t leave you till she turned to the now burning auburn horizon.

In the distance the both of you could see the burning skies pulse with hues of firey orange and red. The boom and crack of thunder and distant fire-bombs echoed through the evening sky.

The next thing you hear were the once present, now fading footfalls of the hyur. Your eyes try to focus on the shape of her body as it began to fade from you within the coming rain. She was running now.. Running into the fire..

Your hand reaches out to her once again.. Words and thoughts failing you here as they did before.. Up’til now..

What was her name?

Do you recall?

“Bellona..”

Her name comes to your memory in a quick flash as you come to your senses. Hand now back at your side, shoots outward. Grasping at the now far away girl.

“B-Bellona..!” Your voice calls out loud into the sky, daring to breach against the booming thunder and bombs along the horizon..

As you strain to keep sight of the girl, you swear that you see her turn back to your direction for but a moment.. A small smile on her face.. one brighter than the one she left you with before she turns back to the wall of flame.. Fading away into certain oblivion.

Will you ever see her again..?

Something among your thoughts tug at your heart as the question was poised..

You know the answer..

And for that.. you were grateful for the rain as it fell..

(( UHHHh.. i wanted a drabble. I gave a drabble. I liked the screenshot too much and i couldn’t think of shite for it.

[[So plot wise.. these are in another timeline, where y’know.. What if she won. That timeline.. So.. for possibly awhile.. if i come up with some stuff.. i’ll write some things out from that timeline. Maybe you’ll enjoy those too. Yeh.

Soo.. have a rainy day drabble?

<== Rewind

Mood

The crackle of aetherial lightning resounded through the tunnel. It’s thunderous boom echoed down the long stone corridor before emptying out into the open air of the desert beyond.

From within the tunnel pulses of blue, red and purple light began to spurt out of the stone walls above the lonely forgotten railway as swirls of magic majesty billowed through in circles over and over. As seeming seconds went by, there began to form a single -tear- in the air itself. A tear from which a portal began to expand from, the screams and echoes from beyond called out as a single hand reached through, cloaked in ragged and dirtied cloth.

As the hand reached out to open air, the rest of the body followed. A man of elderly age spilled through the portal, collapsing onto his knees with haggard breaths and pained groans. From behind him.. The portal grew unstable, the tear from which it was began to contort and bend, breaking itself from the center.

“Drogan!”

The man in rags show his glance back, just in time to see a comrade in bronze armor be cut down through what little sight the breaking tear could provide. As the fighter’s body fell limp, it began to be host to a feast of unholy creatures of blood and decrepit flesh.

“No!” Drogan called out, rising to his tired feet in an attempt to reach back for some sort of hope.. Some sort of other survivor to come through the portal.. But none came.

The colors of the tear morphed once more, blues and purples grew maroon and red till it were but of crimson colors.. The portal collapsing before his very eyes. He couldn’t turn away.. away from the sight of his friends.. those he could still call ally be ripped away from him so quickly..

They were all meant to come through the tear together.. To fix what went wrong..
To make sure the same mistakes wouldn’t be made..
To find their old selves..
To rewind..

“It’s just me now..” The elder elezen spoke, looking away from the slowly dissipating hues of crimson.. the screams of his comrades still fresh.. still present, ever fading.. like echoes in the stone corridor.

“Find @enambris..”

“Find them..”

“Find the network..”

The destruction of his life within the portal beyond came to a screaming close.. the tear ripping itself in twain.. seemingly only to evaporate into the dull warm thanalan air.. flowing into the aetherial sea above..

The ragged clothed elezen took in one final tired breath before turning down the tunnel.. his heart pounded still from his old age and rush of fear..

It were a long road..

A long road from here..

“May fate be true.. gods be kind.. so that i may not be too late..”

“May it not be too late.. to rewind..”
